Epsilon Systems Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Driver in National City, CA.

Job Summary: Drives company vehicle primarily to transport materials to and from specified destinations, such as plants, offices or within industrial yards. Delivers or picks up merchandise and delivers packages.

Responsibilities:

• Transports materials in liquid or packaged form and personnel to and from specified destinations, such as railroad stations, plants, residences, offices, or within industrial yards.
• Verifies load against shipping papers.
• Follows procedures, and drives truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads in area.
• Prepares receipts for load picked up.
• Maintains truck log according to State and Federal regulations, if required.
• Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
• Loads and unloads truck as necessary.
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, and spark plugs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED.
• 2 years’ driving experience.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License with passenger endorsement.
• Clean driving record.
• Must be able to speak, write, understand and communicate in English.
• Must have a good understanding of the metropolitan area and be able to navigate from GPS, map(s) and directions.
• Must have general knowledge of basic warehousing procedures and proper work safety standards (must comply with Safety, Health, and Environmental policies).
• Must be professional in conduct and demeanor.
• Ability to access military/government installations and private area shipyards.

Preferred requirements:

• Fork-lift operator certification.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Frequent standing, sitting, crawling, kneeling, stooping, crouching, walking, handling, feeling with hands, reaching with arms.
• Regular communication (hearing/speaking).
• Good vision/eyesight, corrected eyesight acceptable.
• Occasional lifting up to 50+ pounds.
• Noise conditions noisy to very noisy.
• Industrial environment.
