Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. is seeking a full time Acoustic Rapids COTS Insertion (A-RCI) Sound Navigation and Ranging (SONAR) Support Technician in San Diego, CA.

Summary: This position provides technical guidance and system troubleshooting in support of ship’s force conducting system adjustments and minor repairs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Total Ship Monitoring System (TSMS) with Dual Acoustic Unit (DAU) Hardware Status and Review of Hull Array DAU Status.
• Maintains acoustic intercept and ranging (AI&R).
• Maintains acoustic equipment and enhanced control display workstations (ECDWS).
• Maintains digital acoustic communications.
• Maintains transceiver and/or transducer signal analysis and testing.
• Understands and maintains Advanced Processor Builds (APB) and network architecture administration.
• Maintains workstation hardware and software configuration and testing.
• Administers Linux command line familiarity in order to troubleshoot and determine root cause of failures.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years Navy Ship experience with the assessment and repair of US Navy Submarine Sonar Systems including A-RCI
• Ability to obtain / maintain a SECRET security clearance
• Ability to troubleshoot and assess various pieces of US Navy Submarine Sonar Systems including A-RCI
• Ability to communicate well with superiors and peers
• Ability to read technical manuals and repair standards
• Ability to work well with minimal supervision
• Proficient in use of related computer program/systems, Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with the following shipboard equipment: Total Ship Monitoring System (TSMS), Acoustic intercept and ranging (AI&R), Acoustic equipment and enhanced control display workstations (ECDWS), and digital Acoustic communications

• Ability to go aboard ships, barges and other naval craft
